Questions

The things planners ask.

If yours isn't here, write to hello@boothnoir.com and we reply within two business days.

How much space and power does the booth need?

About 10 by 10 feet of open floor and one standard outlet within reach, and we bring our own cables and tape them down. It works indoors or under cover, and an elevator is needed if the room is above ground level. See the booth.

Is there a deposit, and what if plans change?

Yes, a deposit paid when you book holds the date and the balance is due before the event. We send the contract and the deposit link after the call, once we have agreed on hours and the quote, and the terms are spelled out there. See pricing.

When does the digital gallery arrive?

Within two weeks of the event, as a private album with every photo from the night rather than only the strips. You own them, and we post nothing from your event anywhere without asking you first. See weddings.

Is an attendant always present?

Yes, at every event and with no exceptions, one of us is at the booth from the first guest to the last, keeping the line moving, helping groups into frame, reloading the paper, and running the guest book if you have added it. See the booth.

Can the prints carry our names or a logo?

Yes. The strip, the front screen guests tap, and the rear screen facing the room are all designed for your event, whether that is your names and the date or your company's mark, and we send a proof for sign-off before the day. See brand events.

What backdrops are available?

A white or black tension-fabric backdrop is included, and you choose which. A custom backdrop and a selection of props are add-ons priced when we quote your date. See pricing.

How does the guest book work?

Guests stick a copy of their strip in a book and write something beside it, and one of us keeps it moving all night so it never becomes a table nobody visits. It is an add-on priced on request. See pricing.

Do you carry insurance and venue paperwork?

Yes. We carry commercial liability insurance and can name your venue or your company on the certificate, we send a W-9 with the contract, and we invoice with your PO number. See corporate.

Do you travel outside Seattle?

Yes, anywhere in Washington and to Portland. Travel is included within an hour of Seattle and priced per trip past that, and while our preferred range is about an hour and a half from the city, you can ask about anything in the state. See pricing.

How far ahead should I book?

We take two to three events a month, so summer and early fall Saturdays tend to book several months out and December fills in the fall. If your date is close, ask anyway, because we can take a booking up to two weeks before an event when the date is open. Tell us about your event.
